Set it up once, in a wizard

The first boot runs a setup wizard: the hostname, the first domain, the admin account, TLS, and the DNS records to publish. It checks its own work as it goes — a configuration a daemon rejects is rolled back — and the DNS records it lists are verified live on the domain page once you sign in, not assumed. The same answers can be given as a file for a headless install.

Domains and mailboxes without the ceremony

Add a domain, add mailboxes, set quotas. Aliases take up to fifty destinations, forwarders and catch-alls are a field rather than a config file, and mailbox users can run their own filters and autoresponders — compiled to Sieve from the UI, so nobody writes Sieve.

Configuration you can undo

Nothing is hand-edited on the host. A change is validated against the running daemons before it is applied and rolled back if it fails, and every mutation lands in the audit log with who made it.
